Body War Amino War Review
Body War is one of the newest players in the Australian supplement scene, but its popularity is on par with many companies that have been around for years. It’s safe to say that Body War’s fully-disclosed ingredient panels and smartly-formulated supplements have struck a chord with supplement users down under.
Amino War is Body War’s ‘comprehensive amino acid formula’, combining several aminos to boost muscle growth, endurance, blood flow and overall performance. The unique formula in Amino War makes it ideally used pre, intra or post-workout, especially thanks to the added electrolyte blend. As with all Body War powders, each ingredient is fully-disclosed on the label, making it easy to know exactly what you’re getting in each scoop of Amino War. Here’s what’s in it:
Body War Amino War Key Ingredients
- BCAA’s – The main component of Amino War is the three branched chain amino acids – leucine, isoleucine and valine. These are provided in a 4:1:1 ratio, with 4g of leucine per scoop. BCAA’s are ideally taken during your workout – they have been shown to prevent muscle breakdown and leucine especially has been shown to increase muscle protein synthesis.
- Citrulline Malate – Usually a pre-workout ingredient, some recent amino products have included citrulline malate as a bloodflow enhancer – it assists in delivering amino acids to muscle tissue during workouts and enhancing recovery speed.
- HICA –Alpha-hydroxyisocaproic acid is commonly shortened to HICA, and it is a metabolite of leucine. HICA has been shown to have a number of benefits to recovery, including reducing DOMS and improving body composition.
