Cellucor M5 Extreme Review

Cellucor's think-outside-the-box attitude to bodybuilding supplements has catapulted it to one of the most sought-after brands in the world. Known for its bright silver packaging and original supplement blends, this worldwide brand is gaining support in Australia as it introduces more and more products to the Aussie market.

Cellucor M5 Extreme is a truly original product in a market dominated by repackaged identical products and increasingly similar ingredients lists. M5 Extreme is a preworkout supplement that is customisable to the individual. It features two separate ingredient compartments - one labelled ‘ignite' and the other ‘build', and users can choose to include more or less of each blend of ingredients as desired. This means that M5 Extreme can be taken at night (leaving out the ‘ignite' blend), or can be taken with extra stimulants when needed. With 60 serves of the ‘ignite' blend and 30 serves of the ‘build' blend, you have more control than ever before with your pre-workout supplementation.

Key Ingredients

  • Ignite Blend - This combination of ingredients is designed to promote mental and physical focus and energy. Featuring a host of research-proven ingredients that promote maximal energy production and output, such as caffeine, tyrosine, niacin and bitter orange, each 1157mg scoop is extremely potent. With 160mg of caffeine per scoop, one scoop is enough to give you a good energy boost, while two scoops is just enough for a decent kick to even the most caffeine-friendly.
  • Build Blend - The ingredients in the ‘build' blend are designed to build lean muscle, improve your ability to lift, increase your endurance, reduce muscle soreness and promote strength and power output. The ‘build' blend contains magnesium creatine chelate, arginine, beta-alanine, creatine nitrate, BCAA's, vitamin C and grape seed extract, which is an excellent selection of powerful ingredients.

Flavours & Sizes

Cellucor M5 Extreme is available in Cherry Limeade and Fruit Punch, and each container has 69g of ‘ignite' (60 serves), and 465g of ‘build' (30 serves), for a total of 534 grams.

Dosage

This is probably the most positive aspect of the M5 Extreme supplement. Each ingredient is clearly labelled (not in a proprietary blend), so the individual can decide exactly how much of each blend is required. What's more, is that each ingredient is included in a significant dosage, such as 5g of creatine, 3g of beta-alanine and 3g of arginine per serve. While the dosage is customisable, for one scoop of ‘build' and two scoops of ‘ignite', you're receiving a potent dose of both the energising and performance complexes, comparable or better than any competitor.

Value

M5 Extreme's value depends on your particular dosage selections. The most common serving size will probably be 2 scoops of ‘ignite' and 1 scoop of ‘build', which means that you will be getting 30 serves from every tub of M5 Extreme. This is more than many pre-workouts (usually 20-25 serves), and the doses of each ingredient are near-optimal. This justifies the price tag which works out at around $2.30/serve. It's only a little higher than average anyway.

Conclusion

Cellucor M5 Extreme is the closest anyone has come yet to the perfect pre-workout supplement. Even without the customisable ‘ignite' and ‘build' blends, the ingredients selected are excellent and the dosages are almost perfect, but with the ability to be able to add or reduce the stimulants as needed, Cellucor are an even bigger leap ahead of any competition.
