Muscletech Push 10 Review

Muscletech's Performance Series features a number of unique supplements and reformulated favourites, featuring fully dosed key ingredients, no proprietary blends and no banned substances. Muscletech consistently strives to design and produce the most effective sports supplements on the market.

Push 10 is the new non-stimulant pre-workout supplement in the Muscletech Performance Series, and despite only having three main ingredients, it promises to be one of the most effective preworkouts out there. Push 10 features the GAKIC ingredient blend, as well as waxy maize and beta-alanine to help increase energy levels, endurance and strength levels.

Key Ingredients

  • GAKIC - Patented by the University of Florida, GAKIC is a specific combination of arginine, ketoisocaproic acid calcium and glycine. This combination of ingredients has been used in Muscletech products in the past, and at the clinically-tested dose of 11.2g, test subjects using GAKIC improved their strength levels by 10% immediately, and improved their endurance levels by 21%.

  • Beta-Alanine - Beta-alanine is one of the most research-supported ingredients mainly to promote endurance. Beta-alanine increases muscle carnosine levels, which helps to delay muscle fatigue during sets.

  • Waxy Maize - Waxy maize is a complex, long chain carbohydrate which provides a sustained energy release over a long period of time. This is ideal before a workout to help promote energy output for the entire workout. Since waxy maize has a high molecular weight and is digested well, the other ingredients in Push 10 will be absorbed and used much more effectively.

Flavours & Sizes

Muscletech Push 10 is available in a 490g container (32 serves), in Fruit Punch and Watermelon flavours.

A half scoop of Push 10 provides a good starting point for the key ingredients beta-alanine (1.6g) and GAKIC (5.6g). To get the full effects of the product, however, you will want to consume the research-validated doses of each, which equates to exactly one scoop of Push 10. One full scoop provides 3.2g of beta-alanine, 11.2g of GAKIC and 8.8g of waxy maize, which should provide an excellent training boost.

At a half scoop per serve (which is the recommended starting point), a tub of Push 10 will last over a month, and cost around $2 per serve. This is decent value for a proven pre-workout supplement. At the full dose, however, you're looking at around $4 per serve, which is fairly pricey. With 16 full serves, a tub of Push 10 will last most people 3-4 weeks, and being stimulant-free means that you won't need to keep increasing the dosage as you build a tolerance.

It's on the upper-scale in terms of price, but Muscletech Push 10 offers an excellent ingredient combination (with university research backing), unique to any other preworkout out there. Push 10 is stimulant-free, which is excellent for anyone training later in the day, and will boost the energy, endurance and strength levels of anyone who tries it!
